"How Real is Christ to Me?"

-Psalm 73:28

All are welcome to join us from:

To

Saturday, July 30th

Welcome to Camp Hope!

This summer we gather once again for a time of fellowship and fun at the Camp Hope Bible Conference. For nine years we have welcomed people of all ages to join us, and would also like to welcome you! Camp Hope provides an opportunity for you to grow deeper in your walk with the Lord through the study and meditation of His Word. Camp is also a fun and relaxing time to meet new people and share in camp activities.

Camp Hope is a Bible conference and family camp open to everyone from infants to the elderly. We encourage young adults to come as we seek to focus on their spiritual needs. We also host a fun "Kid's Camp" for Pre-7th grade in the mornings. In addition, our Korean brethren have meetings in their own language (for more information about this, contact Mr. Jung Kim
jk8689@netzero.net).

As in years past, our messages will be based on New Testament Assembly Principles. In the morning meetings, there will be teaching on the Word as we seek the Lord's application of the theme verse to our lives. Every evening a Gospel message will be presented. Although this is a family Camp, it is also a Bible Conference, so come prepared to spend many hours in learning from the Scripture and meditating upon His Word. Spending time in His Word is always a blessing! There is plenty of free time during the day to spend quiet time with the Lord, enjoy time with other brothers and sisters in Christ, or simply have clean fun in the great outdoors! We welcome everyone to our Camp, even if you aren't a Chrisitan you are most welcome to come and learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We hope you will join us this year at Camp Hope!

How Real is Christ to You?

Our theme this year is

"How Real is Christ to Me?"

Based on Psalm 73:28,

“It is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Your works.”

Paul tells us that he always carried about in his body the dying of the Lord Jesus so that the life of Jesus would be manifested in his body (2 Corinthians 4:10). Paul realized it was a good thing for him to draw near to Christ. However, he also realized that when one drew near to Christ it also meant one must draw near to His cross. Paul declared, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20). Paul knew he must trust in the Lord and allow the dying of the Lord Jesus to work deeply within his soul - only then could the life of Jesus be truly manifested to a dying world in all its glory - only then would Paul be able to declare His works to all of mankind. Christ was real to Paul! How real is He to us? How would you answer the question, "How real is Christ to me?" Join us as we meditate upon this!

"Kids Camp"

For the morning meetings the children separate to a "Kids Camp". All the children from pre-school to 7th grade, gather together to start off our time with really fun and active songs. We close the song time with more serious songs accompanied by guitar, to help them focus on the Lord and the message He has for them in the Bible story that will be taught. After the songs we separate the children into two groups. The younger group - Pre to 2nd - will learn the Bible lesson through a fun puppet show or skit every day. After their Bible story they will play all kinds of silly games and even get toy or candy prizes at the end of the day! We also try to provide a fun craft for them to do every day to help them remember the Bible lesson that was taught.

For our older group - 3rd to 7th - they also will learn the Bible story through skits, usually played out by themselves or put on by some voluntary high schoolers, and have the teachers explain the story as the skit is being played out. After the Bible lesson they break up into girl and boy groups led by teachers of the same gender, which always makes them more at ease and more likely to open up, ask questions and share how the theme relates to their lives. They also play all kinds of fun, more active games, and compete all week to win a big prize at the end of the week! There is also a jump house set up every day during "free time"!! We provide a snack and drink for all the children in mid-morning.

All week there is a consistent theme that will be taught through a specific Bible story. We encourage the children to always search the Bible first and foremost to better understand the Bible lessons, hoping to teach them to become more familiar with both reading the the Bible and becoming closer to Jesus. At the end of every morning we gather all the kids back together and present to them a true gospel message for children. They always have an opportunity to talk to any of the Kids Camp leaders after the gospel message and throughout the day. We always make ourselves available to the children, as this is our prime goal and prayer to make sure we present the truth and love of Christ to them and strive to make sure they personally know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. With loving open arms the Lord welcomes all children, and in the same way we welcome every child to Kids Camp.

"But Jesus called them to Him and said, 'Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.'" -Luke 18:16
